Online International Exchange Level 1
(Self-introduction and local introduction)
Padlet exchange (high school in India and high school in Kochi Prefecture)

It was a little difficult to write a lengthy self-introduction in English, but I managed to complete it by researching expressions that would be easy for the other person to understand and using translation tools.

Interacting with students from other countries using Padlet was a very valuable experience. I felt like I was getting to know them, and at the same time, I felt like I was able to understand them. Because we were communicating online, I was able to use a translator to understand the English I didn't understand.

I learned about the food culture and world heritage sites of the other country, and I felt like I wanted to actually visit. However, I realized that there is still a lot I don't know about my own region, and that I need to learn more about it before I can explain it to others.

It was a valuable experience to be able to interact with students from other countries online and actually talk to them. I had a fun time interacting with them and learned about Indian culture and characteristics. On the other hand, I had a hard time understanding what the other person was saying because he spoke quickly and had a distinctive accent, but I was happy with the small moments of interaction, such as when he waved at me, and it was a very good experience.

It was fun to be able to communicate through text and video introductions even though we didn't speak the same language.
I learned that English is difficult in other countries too.
I was able to think of sentences on my own and learned new words, which was helpful.
I was able to find out what was popular in the other country.

Communication using online conference tools (Elementary school in India and elementary school in Kyoto)

I was a little nervous about presenting the project we created in English to students from other countries, but it was a great experience. I also want to connect with more students from other countries.

It was a very stimulating and valuable opportunity to discuss together as a team with Indian teachers to create lesson plans. It was reassuring to know that there are like-minded colleagues from around the world, and it also gave me an opportunity to reconsider my role as a teacher.

英語の授業にプロジェクト・ベースド・ラーニングを取り入れようと教案を考えていたため、生徒が主体的に考える力を養うことができるGSCのプログラムは、まさに理想的でした。

At the free information session, we were given step-by-step instructions on how to proceed with the project and how to register, which was very easy to understand. Also, this service, which uses the Class2Class platform, uses a project-based learning format in which students tackle SDG issues, so I felt that it would be possible to implement content that is familiar and tangible.

Taking on the challenge of solving actual problems faced by NPOs (High school students from Japan and India)

Since I started to actively communicate in English, I decided to study English more. I also felt a strong desire to work in other countries, and I wanted to become someone who could be active internationally.
